My first book, “Love in Nimbin” was dedicated to the memory of my grandfather, Arthur William Musgrove on his birthday 16/1/2017. This year, on his birthday I decided to donate my double decker bus, Atlantis to the town and people of Nimbin so that the community can have a free public transport system. I initially bought Atlantis as part of a project to make a free school travelling and teaching wellness and sustainable off grid lifestyles. However since arriving in Nimbin that dream morphed into Nimbin Free Cooperative Communiversity which launches on the 21st of January 2020. I also think that it is time to move on from living in Atlantis and that she would best serve a whole community like Nimbin. So the commitment is to give Atlantis to Nimbin, raise the funds to ensure she is renovated to meet road safety and registration requirements and then Nimbin will have public transport around the village for locals and visitors at an affordable cost.
The Gentle Man

Arthur was a bear
A bear who could hug with great care
Loving in a manly way
Kind and happy, laugh and play
Always with gentle care
Arthur was a great big bear
He taught me how to be a man
To walk with strength but softly
In the garden waits a boy
Beep of a horn, shouts of joy
Bumpa, grandpa coming home
Plums and lemons, grass freshly mown
Driving out on the freeway
“No more bridges” is the game we play
In me, Arthur is forever more
The gentle man lives on for sure
Happy Birthday Bumpa our Grandpa
You died in a car crash when I was young
so I’m giving this as a gift of life to Nimbin
so that everyone can enjoy her and have fun
She will drive about Nimbin
People will not need their car
Just for the cost of a donation
Carrying locals and visitors from afar
Happy birthday my ancestors
This is how I honour you
A gift for future generations
Is my gift in Honour of you.
Happy Birthday
16/1/2020 Happy Birthday Bumpa, Arthur William Musgrove my grandpa
He killed in a car crash when I was four Another driver went through a stop sign and hit his driver door He gave me many good memories and lessons. Number one, how to shave with razor. Number two. He also taught me to be a gentleman.
I want to honour his memory and give a gift of unity
I can’t give it to him but it’s a gift that can serve a whole community.
My grandfather was a soldier and he taught me to fight for peace.
So I studied Environmental Science and got a job at Greenpeace.
Greenpeace taught me to bear witness and to take action on solutions.
From my grandfather the soldier, Greenpeace and now living in Nimbin I learnt that together as a community we are stronger.
I want to give Atlantis, the double decker bus to the whole Nimbin community to use as a free public transport system in and around Nimbin for the whole community to enjoy.
But it needs a little work, money and people to help do it however, Atlantis is still in very sound condition.
And I am asking for ideas and for help so that Nimbin can have free public transport for locals and visitors.
Can you help?
This would mean people could get home and into town safely and visitors could enjoy it too.
I would love your hear your ideas.
